I am an amateur guitarist mostly playing clean and this is my first tube amp. I had two other non-tube amps before. My goal was to purchase an amp that is:
(i) with single channel all tube circuitry (i.e. reliable and easy to maintain);
(ii) simple to use (i.e. no need to fiddle with a lot of buttons for getting a right clean or slightly overdriven tone);
(iii) takes pedals well;
(iv) easy to be transported; and
(iv) is good for home or bedroom use.
I think that the amp satisfies all of the above and the sound of the Ruby 6V6 tube and 12AY7 preamp tube is very inspiring. The 8 inch Weber speaker sounds great and you should not be afraid of the fact that it is only 8 inch and not a 12 inch speaker. Also, the fact that there is no reverb should not be an off-turner, the amps takes reverb pedals (and also other pedals) really well.
I believe that the price was relatively high for such a small and simple amp, but I do not regret that at all, because it really ticked all the boxes for me and it is a joy to look at and listen to it. Also, the fact that it was made in the Fender Custom Shop at Corona should imply that such an amp can be resold relatively quickly.

A true classic

Knew exactly what I was going into purchasing this amp. I has on/off and volume. That is it! The rest is up to you and the guitar. So some call it a one trick pony. But I would call that to underestimate it. Yes it has the glorious tweed semi overdrive. But this thing is perfect as a pedalplatform as well.
Quality is top notch. It is built to last. From the fingerjoint cabinet to the handmade turretboard. Seen more recordings than almost any other amp i reckon, and for a good reason. The tone is there, when you switch it on.
One piece of advice. The alnico speaker needs a long time to properly break in. At least in my experience. After a few months it started opening up, and just keeps on getting better.
The price is steep, but they also keep their value very well.

Hmmm Hmmm. Hmm Hmm

Out of little boxes mighty voices roar.
This is the warmest, dirtiest, bluesiest amp fitted into a small package.
The amp asks you to dial it up higher than you have dared before.
Go for it, it's worth every cent.
Five stars all the way.
Every now and again you come across an incentive to plug in the guitar and go for it. This amp is constantly asking.

Many of us - professionals or home-musicians - one day want to have an idea about Fender-tweed-real-vintage sound. Dozens of tweed-like pedals from famous or unknown companies produce dozens of different tweed-like sounds. But finally if to be honest we are all the same because inside our souls we need the same things - real friend, real love, real breeze, real sun and moon, and… you could laughing…real sound of Fender tweed. So here it is! Real-Fender-Tweed-Sound.
