Decided to upgrade all the electronics of this guitar with Fender 250K pots and 3 way switch and Emerson in oil capacitor. I did not wanted to use the original plate as I wanted to keep the original electronics together in case I would ever sell this guitar.
The plate is of excellent quality, made in South Korea.

Nasty cheap crap in a very expensive Fender bag.
Jonbikebod 28.12.2022
I bought this to upgrade a Squier so the control plate is a similar thickness to the scratchplate it abuts to – like a Fender. The scratch plates are around 2.2mm thick, the Squirer control plate is 1.9mm but the ‘Fender’ branded replacement is only 1.3mm including the thick plastic bag it comes in - much thinner again, than the Squier.
You can buy eastern made parts of only a few Euros (and this is certainly one of those) but in a Fender bag it costs 20€ for Thomann... What a con.

Good Quality

If you're in the market for an exact Fender control plate for your Tele then yes, it's perfect. I feel you can also find alternatives with just as good quality for a better price though. It's subjective I guess. Mine arrived a little scratched which I was disappointed with, other than that I have no issues with it!

Good genuine Fender part
Andrew822 03.01.2018
Genuine Fender packaged product probably made in Taiwan but still good. I used it on partscaster build to go with other genuine Fender parts. If you are using full size CTS pots the holes are big enough unlike some of the Chinese import control plates that you can get. I could say its a bit overpriced for what it is, but if you want

Perfect fit on a Squier telecaster
Bob @ Piedmont Guitars 09.06.2018
The screw holes all line up perfect, and the chrome plating was deep and shiny. This is for the American sized pots. Although metric pots will also fit since they have smaller shafts.

Best quality, and quality you have to pay for.
However, if justifies the price.

No way around this original part
Anonymous 17.01.2017
If you use stock or CTS pots for your Tele, you will very likely have to use this plate to get them through, as others have a narrower diameter.
Mind you, if it was not for that, they are EXACTLY the same as other generic ones. You cannot tell its an actual Fender part

Standard Fender Tele Control Plate.
Andy_P 13.07.2014
It's Fender. It fits perfectly. I bought a whole host of guitar gear for my mahogany baritone Tele build and decided that only Fender parts will do. I'm not disappointed by my choice in the slightest. It's really well made and well worth the money for it. If you're in the market for a replacement control plate for your Tele, you need not look any further.

Worth the extra money

Much better than poor quality non branded versions. The finish is far superior.
