Ok, everyone, you can trust me or not trust me... I fitted these to a Partscaster I made with a relic body from California and a neck from a Squire... I expected these to sound pretty good, but I honestly can tell you they sound really really really good. I was delighted. Just to show what I mean: I also own a Custom Shop '57 Strat, a Custom Shop Nocaster, two Les Pauls - a 2001 (with Mojotone '59 clones installed) and a 2019 (new version of 50s standard), a 2014 Rickenbacker 330 and a 2016 Elite Strat with Custom Shop Fat 60s installed. AND THIS PICKUP SET in my Partscaster sounds 99% as good as any of the others.
I play through a 2000 '59 LTD Bassman RI.
Some complain that these do not sound "vintage"... what they mean is they aren't as 'airy' (slightly less mid frequencies) as other Strat pickups. Believe me, these Hot Noiseless sound purely Fender and are sweet as candy.
The "Hot" does not mean they sound like heavy metal... no, they sound perfectly normal but you can drive them with overdrive effect more easily. If you want them even more gentle, just move the pickups closer to the body... simple.
