Does the job flawlessly. Like most memo's from all kinds of brands.
Rod clamps up to 12,7 mm can often be used in combination with non-hinged memo's, but sometimes you don't want to break down a set-up before doing so.
With stands that usually start with 19 mm or 3/4" diameter, it can be a lot more effort to break down a perfect set-up just to put a non-hinged memo in place.
In those situations, these hinged memo's are a blessing.
A little more expensive, but they'll last you many years.
In the jungle of brands and aftermarket accessoiries, memo's with their specific lips will not always fit perfectly against the item you want to fix, but it's no problem, it doesn't have to.
Sometimes other memo's are out of stock, too hard to come by or just too expensive.
As long as you figure out your own system of placing them in a way to be able to build everything back exactly the same before dismantling.
Next to securing a certain height, I also use these to memo attached multiclamps.
No matter if I leave the multiclamp on, but if I can't, I won't have to figure out how to place them back the next time.
Especially the 25,4 mm or 1" tube size is the one that's going to be used to attach Stealth rack, holding arms and other stuff.
Gotta have memo's for everything if you like to trick out your set with all kinds of goodies.
