Great product - Just not the right fit
Tiago Oliveira Coelho 21.07.2020
Bought a set of Klusons for my Classic 60's Tele (MIM) to replace the Kluson-style Ping/Fender stock tuners, but the bushings were too narrow for the pre-existing holes. So I found these conversion bushings and thought my problem was solved.
Before anything, I have to say that they're quite good, and feel very solid. A+ for building quality.

However, the holes for the tuners in my guitar is neither 8mm nor 10mm. If you have the same model as I do, either be prepared to enlarge the holes on the headstock to fit these, or just use aluminium tape on the narrow bushings to keep them in place.

My bad, they didn’t fit…
tremblox 07.01.2023
These are fine but didn’t fit my application. I’m writing this as a heads-up to others.
Firstly not all tuners, even Gotoh tuners have the same post/shaft diameter. Not even in the same series. Take for example the Kluson-style SD91 series. The units with magnum lock and height adjustable post/shafts - the HAP-M units - have 6mm post diameters. They fit too loosely in these bushings and as a result of the string tension the tuners will get sloppy and wear out prematurely over time.
On the other hand the standard SD91 tuners (no locking, height adjustment) have post diameters of ca 6,25mm (from memory so I might be off by a tad), so that these bushings will be a perfect fit and you’ll enjoy a lifetime of happiness with them.

So in all cases the buyer should check their post diameters carefully before selecting and trying to source the correct bushings. Take care, it’s a jungle out there.

Does not fit all Gotoh locking tuners...
LeonardS 25.05.2021
I bought these to install the Gotoh SD-91-05M MG-T locking tuners as the bushing delivered with the tuners were too small for my Fender to fit well.
However, I can confirm that these Göldo MB05C bushings do NOT fit the tuners either as the diameter, like the Fender ones, are simply too small (narrow).
The Göldo MB05C go well with the other Gotoh SD-91 locking tuners, but for those the Fender bushings fitted as well.
The bushings themselves are ok.

Really Great!

Very useful items for refitting vintage tuners to "classic" guitars that have had Schallers or similar fitted...or for retro fitting vintage tuners where moder tuners came as stock..
Unless its quite a collectible piece where the original bushings have to go back in these save a great deal of trouble and provide a good fit and support presuming the headstock was properly reamed out previously...
Kudos to Thomann for keeping these presumably low volume sales items in stock, its very helpful!

Does the job, depending on the guitar
Arno van Remoortel 03.09.2022
I got this to install vintage style tuners on the Harley Benton HB-35. HOWEVER, since I suspect the holes in the Harley Benton are slightly larger than most US or Mexican variations, the bushings just fell out. The difference wasn't too big, however, so I wrapped each of the bushings once in bandage tape, now they fit perfectly. Couldn't be happier.
