I had a bone saddle in my McIlroy A25 and found that on fitting an undersaddle pickup (originally a Fishman Matrix, now a B-Band 22r) that the high E was too prominent. After checking that the saddle slot base was completely flat (it was) I did a bit of Googling and discovered that with bone being a natural material it can contain faults that really effect the string to string balance when using an under saddle transducer. The Graph Tech Tusq saddle has absolutely sorted out this problem and the balance is now perfect! As for the acoustic tone of the guitar I think that it is pretty much identical to when it had the original bone saddle.
