Pros:
- Improves stand stability
- 2,3 Kg of iron

Cons:
- 2,3 Kg of iron

Additional notes:
- I'm very tall, and when you get your mic stand as tall as I have it, you might need that extra stability. Round bases have a lower center of gravity, so they are naturally less stable. This will improve that.

Helps balance a very top heavy mic set-up. The rubber grip on the base does have a tendency to slip or stick to the surface of the floor if base is left in same position for extended periods.

Must have for round base stands with boom arm

My Gravity round base stand was fine with just the microphone on top, but when I equipped it with a boom arm - not so stable any more. This fixes the problem. Easy to attach and stays on firmly.
