Great features for a low mic stand
DrCheese 10.09.2021
I use this for its expected application of miking kick drums but also for Foley and sound effects recording when a low height is needed. I have also used it as a table mic stand!

There is a lot that I like about this stand - the base is very heavy but this helps a lot with stability which is important as the boom arm is capable of reaching out quite far. The legs are also quite short and this helps with placement in awkward places. The main boom arm adjustment is opened and closed using a clip rather than a screw; I find this a quicker solution and it remains secure. The other screw-adjustable points on the stand use soft rubber wheels which are extremely comfortable when turning. Their screws tighten in a nicely damped fashion but they also feel totally secure.

The three feet feature funky lime green rubber rings which Gravity tell us are so that the legs are visible on stage so we don't trip over them - you can swap these with included black rings if you prefer something less conspicuous.

Cable clips are includes on both the boom arm and on one of the base legs.

A highly recommended choice for a versatile low mic stand.

An excellent, very sturdy stand
Alex Dascal 09.01.2020
I am using this stand for miking under the snare drum. The construction is very solid, the base is very heavy which helps keep it well in place. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend using this stand for a series of applications that require a low height -- miking under a snare, miking a bass drum, a small cabinet, etc.
I have been using it for a couple of months now and I have not had any issues with it. Most of all -- because of it weight, it held it's position very well when moving other stands around and tripping over this one.
Pros:
- Very sturdy
- Very good build quality
- Rubberized screw-nuts make it very easily adjustible
- The boom arm is extendable
Cons:
- None
Warning:
- The tripod can be a problem when used in tight spaces (under the snare there can be a lot of stuff you need to take into account -- double bass pedal/axis, hi-hat stand legs, cymbal stand legs, etc)
- If you have a lot of clutter where you need to place the stand -- you might want to consider a stand with a circular base -- Gravity has a short model of the sorts

Great for recording guitar...
tonymckenzie.com 17.01.2022
From the off I wanted a smaller microphone stand than some of the regular stuff out there primarily to record 4x12 cabs in a studio environment. I have a number of gravity stands from previous purchases and so I considered these... eventually buying two of them.

This small microphone stand is exactly what I was looking for, very robust and well enough made to stand the rigors of being knocked about in a studio. I use many of the common microphones and even some of the weightier ones (Aston Stealth) is handled well enough on this stand, and mics like Shure beta and many other microphones are a doddle. There is little or no instability if you set it up right.

I particularly liked how robust these stands are... especially for the price. The little 'green' rings are basically a gimmick and serve little use except for aesthetics...

Overall I would buy again and these are recommended if you need small stubby stands that are very robust in use and can handle even larger microphones that have weight.

Heavy smallness
Tamas.V. 15.10.2020
It really is a tiny stand but more heavy than my normal sized B series Gravity stands.
The stand is flexible enough for any kickdrum micings and guitar/bass cabs - that's what it's designed for so no surprises here.
The most extreme thing I used it was vocals because I had no more stands with me. Was using the Rode NT1A which is little more than 1kg with it's heavy mount... The stand was extended to full lenght and on a chair and could manage it just fine. SM7B is another larger mics I have and it's not a problem with the stand either.
I have 2 of these for Kick IN + Snare BOT mics and can suggest you to get these if you record drums because making the setup so much faster and practical!

I'm a drummer. This Microphone Stand is perfect product. Sturdy and reliably made. Large range of coverage. For a second microphone in the case or under the snare drum is perfect.
Compared to other stands that are not in the high end price range, this one is the best.

Perfect
Xavier_Lima 14.03.2024
Heavy, solid and versatile. It can hold any heavy kick mic without any instability.
If you don't like the green accents, you can swap the rubber rings with the included black ones to give it a more neutral look.

Gravity are my new go to
Paul592 29.08.2021
This stand is built like a tank. It's reassuringly heavy lol. Wont extend high enough to stand and sing with unless you're tiny, but that's not really what it's designed for. Can't fault it

Kick Drum

After struggling with the old stand, this one holds its ground when I mic the kick in deep, I get a clean recording, it has a great grip, I highly recommend it.
