Gretsch Drums Brooklyn Jazz Shell Set -SM

I?ve been looking at these kits for quite som time, and when I finally was in the process of getting a new kit, it was an easy choice. I had a snare drum form the brooklyn series before, so I knew the build quality was good.
My first reaction unpacking these drums is that the finnish is much more beautiful than any pictures would suggest. The sound is very greatchlike; open, warm with a dry attack yet they really SING! The tuning range is huge, they go deep down a fat and punchy sound, the bass drum can (even though its only 18"*14") really go as low to accommodate any setting I?ve been playing with from jazz to funk, reggae and even a little rock! And of course they tune up to a great bop sound as well, but no surprises there! ;)

I?ve played Gretsch Catalinas, renowns and New Classics before and was wondering about the difference in sound and quality related to price. But this really is a whole different level!

All in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase its a great kit, with top of the best features!
