Sounds Lovely, but some issues

The guitar has a fair bit of noise. The noise goes away if you touch a piece of metal on the guitar. I raised this with Thomann as i thought there was a grounding issue but they claimed this is how the guitar should behave. Also, one of the pegs to hold the guitar strap is faulty. Apart from that it has a lovely warm tone.

Gretsch did great!

I needed relevant instrument for r'n'r and rockabilly project but more versatile to use it also for blues and jazz. G5422T seemed to be in the middle of the road for everything. I had G5420T in the past but sold it as it felt too inappropriate for the repertoire I had in these days. It was Korean made then. It was very good quality. I was a bit suspicious this time as it is made in China but... all for nothing - absolute top quality craftsmanship out of the box! Would not believe if it wasn't myself. Only thing I replaced was adjustomatic bridge with rocking bar bridge and only because it was my preference, not because of any malfunction.
It my first buy without a smallest need to improve anything or go to luthier for setup. Great guitar! Recommended for 100%!

Bei thomann im Laden gekauft , super nett e Beratung dort ! Wollte dort gleich ein Setup machen lassen, was absolut nicht notwendig war ! Super Verarbeitet, perfekt eingestellte Seitenlage und natürlich der perfekte Gretsch Sound ! Als Beatles Fan braucht man so eine Gitarre 🎸

Muy buen producto a calidad-precio razonable

El color, los acabados, los materiales,... es preciosa.
Cumple totalmente las expectativas de un producto con una relación calidad precio excelente. Totalmente recomendable.

La sonoridad es la particular de una guitarra semi-hollow con el típico sonido Gretsch de las pastillas Filter'Tron por lo que es importante tenerlo en cuenta.

Con sonidos limpios el tono es extraordinario. Con distorsión elevada no hay ninguna retroalimentación pero noto el sustain muy bajo (el sonido no se mantiene demasiado bien).

OJO: El treble bleed circuit no se nota casi nada y modificar el volumen master tiene un efecto MUY notable sobre el tono general. También a tener en cuenta. No permite mucho juego con el volumen máster puesto que el efecto sobre los agudos es muy dramático.

Aunque el control de calidad es EXCELENTE la guitarra llegó bastante desafinada y con una baja estabilidad de la afinación. No soy experto pero sospecho necesita un primer calibrado o puesta a punto por Luthier. Por lo demás todo ok.
