Hello, so I have gotten a Gretsch Renown kit recently, and let me tell you, it's an amazing sounding kit thanks to its 7-ply maple shells and the Gretsch 302 hoops which some people may not prefer. Its build quality is outstanding and has one small issue and it is that the color wrap has a small bump on where it was glued which makes it not the most perfect build quality but everything else was completely fine. it also comes with the famous Gretsch silver sealer. It features a drilled bass drum which I am not a big fan of since it is very hard to position the toms properly and they sometimes touch the bass drum. but everything else is good. This particular color is great In person and not as yellow as on the pictures.

Après 40 ans d'expérience, des Sessions sur PEARL, MAPEX, TAMA, YAMAHA, SONOR, DRUM WORK..., La Renown est excellente autant sur la Jazzette que sur la standard en 22. La grosse caisse sonne parfaitement bien. Je suis entièrement satisfait de ce choix sans compter la qualité du revêtement extérieur superbe sous des projecteurs et sans oublier la qualité du Chrome très professionnel !
Le réglage est précis sans être contraignant. Je ne lui trouve pas de défauts contrairement aux autres.

Muy buena relacion calidad/precio. El bombo tiene un sonido muy grave y poderoso, sobre todo sin lo sonorizas con un micro de bombo. No me ha hecho falta agujerear el parche; cada golpe es un zambombazo. El tom de 10 de lo mejor que he escuchado y el de 12 e s brutal. El tom base redondea el circuito con un ataque muy contundente y grueso. Muy satisfecho. Con Grestsch siempre tendrás garantía de versatilidad.

J'ai longtemps hésité entre une Starclassic Walnut/Birch et une Renown Maple, et je dois dire que je ne regrette pas mon achat
En plus d'être vraiment magnifique (bien plus en vrai qu'en photo), le son est simplement excellent ! Mention spéciale pour la grosse caisse et le tom basse
Certes j'aurais préféré une grosse caisse non percée, et des raccords de revêtement peut être un poil moins grossier, mais je pinaille
Pour ce prix foncez, c'est le top !
