Great looking machine Heads, but average stability.

I ordered these for my Gibson 1982 Les Paul Studio. I had them on for a month as I found the Grover locking romantics to be more stable. I then replaced my them on my Gibson Melody Maker and they seem to be more stable. Look great but feel there are better alternatives out there.
