Gruvgear SoloStrap Neo

My 5 string basses are heavy and I was starting to suffer back and shoulder pain when playing, and my arms and fingers would start to go numb. A year ago I bought one of these straps and the pain and discomfort has completely gone. I can play for hours without any trouble now. I now have one of these on all 3 basses, this was the last one I had to buy. Excellent, comfy and reliable straps. Very well made and strong. Only negative is that the black colour on the leather section has marked my white shirts on hot, sweaty gigs so I?ve fixed some material over the top to protect my shirts.

E
Extremely comfortable trap
E.Smith 27.02.2020
This strap is the most comfortable I have ever used. They replaced the button to adjust the length with plastic slide lockers. I can't tell if it's better or not, it works fine and it's fairly easy to lock/unlock to adjust the strap. One of the plastic sliders on my strap was stuck in lock position, so I had to break it open to be able to adjust the strap length. Other than that the quality is good overall. The materials used seem good quality.
The strap smells bad at first but the smell goes away after a week or so of use.

Good strap with terrible adjustment mechanism
a voice from the back row 06.02.2021
The strap itself is good and comfortable, but adjusting the length is a nightmare. I had to look up a YouTube video to figure out how it works, and by the time I was done removing and re-inserting the slide locks, my fingers were hurting and had cuts on them. Then a couple of days later I discovered that one of the two locks came loose and was missing. Luckily I only play at home and found it on the floor...

U
Best strap for bass guitar
Uros86 16.08.2021
I bought this bass strap for my bass guitar after I started having back and shoulder pain while using my ordinary leather strap. This Gruvgear strap is extremely wide (the widest I could find), very soft, but also firm. The strap is also wide throughout the whole length, so it feels like it's hugging my body, which I think helps with distributing weight.

The length is a bit difficult to set up, but once you do it, it stays in place. So it's a set-and-forget strap - if you are changing your strap length often, you may want to look elsewhere. But for a reliable and comfortable strap you can't really do better than this.

I wish I knew earlier

I bought it elusively so I can play my Marcus Miller jazz bass which is too heavy for long sessions and it did the trick!
The bass is still heavy like a sack full of bricks but at least I can use it in gigs now!

D
Top quality!!!
Djhuti1 09.01.2023
So this bass guitar strap was recommended to me by Dane Alderson, (bassist for The YellowJackets)... It is TOTALLY solid with no incremental movements making my heavy Fender bass much easier to play...
it's wide Neoprene construction is easy on the shoulders...
adjustments are a bit tricky but easy enough...
overall, 5 stars!!!

Slow to adjust but fantastic once done.
Anonymous 02.01.2017
This is an extremely comfortable strap. The adjustment is via 3 screws which are hidden once the strap is on. It means your guitar/bass is always at the exact same height - with obvious advantages. The only gripe I have is how long it takes to adjust (actually only a couple of minutes but way longer than a normal strap). I put up with my bass a bit higher than normal for a few gigs before I could be bothered to adjust it to the correct height but that's probably more my laziness. All in all: Great strap.

M
Best strap on sale
Marko96 24.01.2023
It’ thick, comfortable and good looking. You don’t have to worry about it falling of the strap buttons because the holes are really hard. The cover piece for the adjustment screws can be used as a place to clip your wireless inear/intrument reciever. All in all it’s the best strap on the market by far. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d buy more so I don’t have to transfer it to my other basses when I play.

mostly using on rehearsals and live concerts. leather straps was just not for me. have been using other gruv gear products, and have decided to check this strap. comfort is the reason to have this one. my bass is pretty heavy. and this strap helps me to avoid shoulder pain after a gig.

Great strap!
Menknowss 06.11.2019
As the title says, it's a great strap. I like the wideness of it, it really spreads the weight. The material is also really nice, good thick padding and just feels great in general. The only downside is that you can't easily roll it up and put it in a bag. But I just put it on top of the strings of the bass in the case.
