Received my Guild Starfire iii from Thomann's a couple of days ago. The Guitar comes in a really good quality hard case. The guitar is constructed using Mahogany for the body and with the application of the Cherry red finish is absolutely stunning. Being a semi it is of a nice weight and plays like a dream. I love Blues Music and this guitar has a wonderful authentic sound just right for Blues or indeed any form of rock. It has 2 humbuckers and comes somewhere between the "PAF" sound and P90s. Through a good Alnico speaker it is pure, sweet and cutting.
I could not beat Thomann's price so was absolutely thrilled and happy to become the proud owner of my first Guild. I have nearly 30 other guitars ranging from Gibson, Fender,Hofner, Burns,Harmony, Gretsch etc. I am confident that this Guild is on a par and therefore recommend any prospective buyer to give one a go.
