This is a very helpful book for any jazz musician, may it be brass or rhythm player. It thoroughly explains what is found on a jazz lead sheet and how to understand the information presented to you in a Real Book.
All in all, it's a textbook that covers the stuff you'd learn in music high school. Though, it fails to present the importance of ear training when learning a jazz tune.
