The Harley Benton Celluloid Players Pick is Harley Bentons, (Thomann own brand) version of the classic Fender "351 premium plectrum" which is something of an iconic plectrum.
The Harley Benton version is pretty much an exact copy, smooth without ridges or dimples, just a classic looking, plain celluloid, tortoise shell effect plectrum.
I'm a big fan of the Fender version in "medium" thickness and use it for all my 6 string electric guitar playing, ( I like a thinner but larger plectrum for acoustic playing), but I wanted to try a lighter plectrum than even the Fender "thin" (0.5mm thick) with my electric 12 string.
The Harley Benton TH is 0.46mm so not much less but there is a subtle yet noticeable difference.
Playing my danelectro 12 string with a little compression through a fender amp I get a lush sweet jangle, a thin plectrum really makes a huge difference with an electric12 string and I find a celluloid plectrum makes very little string noise compared to the thin dunlop plectrum I also tried which feels more like a nylon material.
A little on the thin side for me for anything else but for electric 12 string they are just perfect.
These really are a fantastic little plectrum and at a bargain price.
