The sound is really great, but sometimes the knobs arent the way they I left them. Also the velcro doesn't stick on the back.

It has it’s quirky limitations, but if you love cheap delay units this one will be fun. The housing and look is great too!

K
3,5/5 some issues with sound
Kerebron 21.05.2021
I liked all features, all knobs worked well. It does what it is supposed to. But sometimes this pedal causes squeek coming out of my amp. Moving power cable in the socket was solving the issue mostly. It is not something I would like to deal with. But this pedal is cheap and as for total beginner it is good start.

TT
Good clear sounding pedal
TB TB TB 23.10.2018
I really want a editable delay unit, as I deal in BPM to ms with my song writing; but I can't afford and expensive rack unit model just for writing with, so I looked for something that would do, and I found this pedal. Getting precise to the beat delays is still hit and miss, but the quality of the sound is really good. Well done Mr TH

A real digital comparable to analog ones
Anonymous 05.07.2016
Starting from the finishing features (box in metal) and quality of the switches this digital delay effect offers many of the possibilities of the quality in the analog ones but at a super budget price. the quantities of different shades of sound are very easily changeable, and the time lapse can be stretched to an infinite mid pitch that makes kind of a bass line a recurrent harmony. Used it with my resonator guitar and makes excellent bluesy indie stuff. also on acoustic and 12 string western style, it really can catch a lot of frequencies.Plus with a gain distortion it can buzz and echo with a reverb regulation in a stoner metal way. Very versatile, strongly recommended.

DELLLLAAAAAYYYYY !!!

WOW less than £30.00 for a delay pedal.....great value!

The sound quality and true bypass are great. Graphics leave a lot to be desired, and its a bit of a bright blue !!

This is really suited the on a budget plug in and play guitar player. Not wanting an all in one multi-effect pedal.

Can't really find fault with the quality, metal casing (will stand up to a bit of abuse) foot switch seems solid but the pots feel a bit spongy in extreme min or max positions .

Holds up well against pedals that are a lot more expensive.

I would certainly consider other Harley Benton pedals, for the price they're a lot of fun and work well!

No cheap trick!
DominicJ 08.10.2014
I purchased the Harley Benton Digital Delay about a week ago and it definitely rocks my pedalboard! I have owned several delays over the years including models from Boss, Line 6, MXR and many more, but I was looking for something really simple without spending my money on getting an Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man. I have owned a Vahlbruch Spacetime Delay that didn't do the trick for me, so I tried the Harley Benton Digital Delay. The Harley Benton Digital Delay is based around the famous PT2399-IC that allows up to 600ms of digital delay and is used in many digital delays out there (Vahlbruch, Wampler, Mad Professor etc.). Although it's called a 'Digital Delay' it doesn't sound like being digital. The repeats are warm and almost sound like coming from an analog delay. The pedal's controls are pretty simple. The 'Time'-knob controls the delay-time, although the delays don't get longer after turning up the knob to 3/4 of it's way. The 'Repeat'-knob controls the amount of repeats following after the delay sets in and you can get pretty crazy oscillation sounds by turning up the knob. The 'Level'-knob is acting as a mixer-stage, so you can't use the pedal as a booster as it's not actually boosting the signal. On the inside of the pedal you will find a battery clip for using the pedal with batteries, but I wouldn't recommend to use the pedal with a battery, because it eats batteries like a monster resulting from the fact that it's a digital pedal. The overall workmanship is pretty good for a chinese made pedal.

Good but not the best
Nicolas VSK 20.02.2019
If you are a beginner and are starting with getting into pedals. go for it! But if you are experienced....don't. Like it's great but the delay time is very short and like if you turn the buttons it might get glitchy sometimes.

Speaking about the glitchy part: If you experiment alot with it you can get some pretty nice synth and DJ style sounds out of it.
