The case is robust. I used it to protect one of my bass when I transported by plane. But first: I modified the interior of the case dramatically, because it was not safe to use as it was. The material provided to modify the case was useless. The top do not press the bass and the instrument is free to move. I added a lot of foam to the top. The foam in the bottom is extremely fragile and I was forced to cover it with fabric after I cut and shaped. So... a lot of work to arrange a proper case!! Then I made a gift to a friend that has an entry level bass :-)
