Harley Benton Fusion-T HH LH EB BK

so ive ben counting down the months waiting for this guitar to become available, the anticipation was palpable as i ordered , i watched a load of youtube re.views , everyone raving about this guitar, well the right hand version anyway.
ive played this now for a few days , 2 days sraight out of the box and 2 days set up by myself and here is my honest
revue
firstly let me say im a big fan of harley benton and have owned 6 all told although 4 have been sold on ,
this is the most expensive one and its certainly the best.
harey bentons are great modders guitars , the wood is usualy very good but the hardware can be poor and i usually replace a lot of it , the hardware on this guitar is top quality
the tuners are super smooth with a good ratio, locking and staggered in height
the nut is properly cut
the switch is very nice and the pots work perfectly with smooth good taper
the bridge is nice, very stable and the trem is great
the pickups are just good , not great but well good enough
the wood is really nice , just a breathtaking finish all over , i have looked all over and it is flawless
the neck is lovely , no buzz , the dots are a nice touch as is the bottom truss rod , the frets are stainless steel and feel smooth and fast , the finish on the rear of the neck is superb.
the set up was poor , done with a ruler , i guess right handers setting up left guitars is always going to be a problematic , just the intonation , the releif and nut were ok ...well i say ok the nut is the right height but its pinging like a 70's space invader on string bends . its supposed to be self lubricating , anyway i put my usual 9-42s and ran a pencil over the slots and its fine now , i also filed the 2 corners over as there pretty sharp
my other slight niggle is the fret edges are slightly sharp , nothing major just i bought the lp junior when that arrived in stock and the fret ends on that guitar are smoother and its 70 cheaper.
the guitar comes with a whole kit of tools , a rod for the truss mech and 4 , yes 4 hex keys , youll need them all to set up the guitar , the bridge is actually a pretty complex piece of engineering from trevor wilkinson , a hybrid of the floyd rose and the strat bridge it floats on 2 pivots and has locking saddles, its a long drawn out process setting up the intonation especially as i normally do it 2 or 3 times every couple of days till its perfect
sound wise , itas really nice , the neck pup is very usable in hb or coil split , the bridge is a bit tinny but you can tone down a bit withthe knob and its fine , the pickups are gool quality ,they really are its just compared with the rest they are the weakest link
conclusion
great guitar for th money or double the money really , i will probably put in some different pickups , this guitar deserves better ,in fact it deserves the very best. the hardware is top quality and the body is plain amazing as is the neck.
the coil tap lets you get 6 different sound settings that are all usable. if this guitar had adifferent name on the headstock it could cost 800 - 1000 so 270 is such a bargain its not true.....

I had my doubts on how the quality would be for a left handed guitar under $400 USD shipped to my door, but I decided to give it a shot and see what happens. I come from a background of Gibson Les Pauls so I do have experience in high end quality guitars and let me tell you, this left handed Tele is truly a sexy looking guitar in person, the photos on the website does not do this guitar justice. The setup was spot on right out of the box all I had to do was tune it. The pickups are very acceptable now do note that ANY split coil setup is cutting the output of the pickups literally in half so most all guitars that split coil will have a decrease in output while in split coil mode.

I really like the feel of this guitar, the neck is nice and smooth and the frets are not sharp, and the tremolo is very nice and accurate. Only thing noticed is the tone knob moves more freely than the volume knob, works just fine just something I noticed.

Overall this guitar is a 10 out of 10 value!

This is a great guitar for an amazing price.
As has been said, the pictures do not do this guitar justice, it really looks great.
The finish on mine is flawless, not a mark on it.
I've heard other reviewers (YouTube etc.) say the pickups are the weak point of this guitar but I'd have to disagree. They sound great in either mode (Humbucker or single). Sometimes with coil split the single mode can just sound a bit thin and tinny (I've had much more expensive guitars like that). But these sound great. Maybe if you're into Metal you might want to change them but I'd live with them for a while first.

The Wilkinson trem also works great and the locking tuners do their job perfectly. The fretboard has a lovely sheen to it which I haven't really seen on other guitars before.

The guitar does need a set up (but nearly every guitar I've bought needs one). Even ones 5 x times the price of this need setting up when you get them.

It'll be used mainly for recording but it'd be a great guitar to use live also.

I can't really fault this guitar at all. At that price it's a steal.

Ordered the guitar and arrived in 4 business days very fast, I had never ordered a guitar online so was nervous about shipping damage but recieved a perfect guitar that was well packaged,

As soon as i wrapped my hand around the neck i was in love, the neck is so sweet, slick, thin and feels superb, writing this makes me wanna play it again if im honest,
the locking tuners combined with a TUSQ self lubricating nut makes tuning stability great, the tuners feel awesome and smooth and its very easy to tune precisely,
even the little things are great such as the felt spacer on the guitar strap points, the finish is brilliant but the gloss back will attract finger-prints so keep a cloth near to keep it looking fresh,
i love the clean tones the coil splitting gives you especially the neck pickup,
the knobs are good, the tone knob on my guitar was not cut properly at the bottom as it is not flat but it does not make contact with the body and for the price it isnt an issue,
Would recommend to any leftys out there.

Well, I finally pulled the trigger and decided to order this model. It was well packed, took a week and a half to get to Canada, (faster than ordering from the States). The build quality is amazing for this price point, the frets were smooth and not jagged, it was actually in tune when I took it out of the box! Like other reviews, i did notice the tone pot felt, I don’t want to say cheaper, but there’s less resistance to it, the volume pot had a nice feel to it. Sounds decent, not as much of a metal guitar. However you can still get good rock tones through it, very mid range and darker sounding, would sound great for leads as single notes cut through very nicely., if you swap out the pickups, then I can see this as a contender. The neck is a bit thicker than i prefer, reminds me of a PRS I used to own, but it’s still a very playable guitar! I also bought a 5 string bass as well, and that one was worth the price of admission! I would definitely buy this again! And looking to get a GS-E. acoustic next!
