When the package arrived at my house, The cardboard box it came in seemed to be in fair condition. There were some small dents, but nothing that caused me to be alarmed. When I unboxed the cabinet, there was a dent in one of the corner trim pieces, there were dents on the front of the amp on the right and left of the frame, and the Tolex material was damaged at the site of the dents. There was no protective packaging at all, so international shipping under these conditions may cause stress to this item. The damage seemed to be minor, and only cosmetic, so I kept it without complaining.
I plugged an Orange Micro Dark into it (that was all I had) and was blown away by the sound quality. I messed with all of the settings on the amp head and played several different guitars (and several styles of music) and the Harley Benton G212 Vintage Vertical cabinet was able to create a tone that was exciting. Rich when it needed to be rich, clean when it needed to be clean, gritty when it needed to be gritty, and powerful the whole time.
Keep in mind, I only plan to use this at home. It will make practice more fun, and will be awesome to have around to jam with friends. However, I can see this being used for small gigs.
The feet on the bottom are durable and protect the bottom of the housing. That along with the built-in handles will make it easy to move around as needed. The front cover can be removed and reapplied easily. One dented metal corner piece has already proven to protect the unit from damage.
Just be on the lookout for damage from shipping, and crooked screws.
Overall, I love this cab!
