I love this guitar!!!
Anonymous 12.11.2016
Hello everyone!

This is my first Harley Benton guitar, and my fourth guitar in total. I bought this guitar because I liked the look of it and I needed a low priced guitar for practice.

The very first thing I usually do with a new guitar is a complete setup. I was so happy when I saw that this guitar was perfectly adjusted by Thomann. The only thing I did was to tune the guitar.

I play the guitar for more than six years. I've never owned or tested a guitar with such a comfortable neck. It suits my hand perfectly! I have to mention that neck binding is nice and makes this guitar look awesome. Also, I would like to emphasize the fact that action, neck relief and intonation were perfectly adjusted, and this in conjuction with the nice neck shape helps alot in very fast playing.

The pickups have a lot of gain, and I really like their sound, because I usually play Heavy Metal and Power Metal. They also seem to be adjusted in a height I like.

I love this guitar and I will buy more Harley Benton guitars in the future.

Thanks!

Super Excellent
AMD86 03.01.2022
This is my first HB guitar, im user of ESP E-II and LTD guitars and this one can compare easily to $800 Guitars.
when I received the guitar I inspected it, the set up was sweet, low action, nu buzzing, the guitar build was super awesome, no hard fret edges, truss rod was in place, the gloss paint was flawless, neck is comfortable and smooth, guitar weight is light.
The only thing I did not like is the position of cable input, it is placed in the bottom of the guitar which can get in your way while sitting, but this is common in V shape guitars.
Hardware seems ok, I don't get a noise from volume or tone pots or input jack, pickups are surprisingly good for metal, I don't think of swapping it now.

in overall it is really a solid guitar. Totally recommending it.
Thank you Thomann for making affordable guitar with excellent quality.

Great riff maker for almost pocket change
Medvedini 24.01.2020
When you see this guitar you understand at once that now there will be METAL! Of course, its shape is 88% of reason I (and I am sure that most of others) bought it.
But! After getting this guitar and trying it for a couple of weeks I was really amazed by two things (for its cost especially!):
1) Sound. It's stable, strong and have nice reaction to attack level of playing. Noise is minimal.
2) Build quality. Frets are really smooth as on more expensive instruments I've tried before. Guitar neck is of comportable thickness and its head head looks absolutely on point with such shape.
It's absolutely right decision that there is no tremolo but there is tried and true tuneomatic. No tremolo means no troubles with tune.
The only minus as I see is overbalancing, so it's a little bit unusually to play and you need to have some tension in left hand. But after about 2 weeks I become accustomed with it. And surely it's not convenient to when seated, so Stand for Metal!
Nice guitar. Really. And good service of Thomann. Cheers from Russia.

GM
A Good, Affordable Offset V
Guitarist Mike 11.08.2022
After seeing countless reviews, videos, and write-ups online praising Harley Benton, I decided to take the plunge. I've always wanted an offset flying v like that of a certain legendary guitarist from the 80s, but never felt comfortable pulling the trigger on it as I couldn't justify spending the big bucks on that signature model on aesthetic alone.

The Harley Benton RX-10 fulfilled that urge for me. For 180 bucks (after shipping), I received a well made, well fretted guitar with low action and a beautiful solid black look.

I'll start with the bad first - the weight distribution is awkward between the body and neck, and the pickups, while loud, are not of the best quality. They get the job done and are of higher quality than the pickups on other "name brand" guitars I've played in the same price range, but they are a tad harsh and on the trebly end for my taste.

Gripes aside, I can't be too harsh considering the entry level guitars on the "other" offset v brand are of similar quality, similar build, and
are significantly more expensive. The value this guitar brings cannot be understated.

Great job, Harley Benton and great job, Thomann. I will be purchasing from you again.

I wish had bought this months ago!
Dad Gad 28.02.2020
I had bought 2 guitars from US dealers that don't check guitars before shipment. A $500.00 Ibanez arrived with a seized Truss rod. A $170.00 Squire arrived with a split body due to a poor neck install. Thomann broke my run of bad luck with a near perfect guitar for a lot less money. Not only is it a good value it was checked before shipment. Shipping damage can happen. No reason to ship a customer a bad product. Thomann got that right. While at this price you can't expect perfection it was much better than you might expect for the price. The frets need a minor dressing on the tips and the nut slots needed a little polish work. Setup was fine out of the box. Great value! My first HB won't be my last! Shipping to the US took 15 days due to the US Postal service letting it sit still for 5 days after clearing Customs.

First impressions, an honest review.
AG5123 08.01.2023
Greetings to Thomann and fellow readers.

I have searched for a guitar which will suit my needs, playing style and budget for a long time. I had scoured the Internet for hours on end looking for an acceptably priced fine quality V-style guitar. Since I was getting desperate for the instrument, i opted for this HB RX-10 BK Rock Series. I do not regret it.
The guitar is very finely built for its price range, and while it offers basic features, I do strongly believe that they are more than enough to suit any musician with a tight budget. I play mostly metal, so these Hi-gain pickups really come in handy for the music genre I base myself in. Although, the only downside to this instrument is the clean tone. It is very muddy and underwhelming, but I strongly stand by the fact that it can be overlooked because the overall pricing and the quality of the instrument are more than acceptable. I had found absolutely no problems with its build quality, hardware, electronics or else.

Overall, I give this instrument a fairly high rating as it really deserves it. I have been playing it for only a month though, so if i experience any problems with it I will be sure to update my comment.

On this price range it´s the best option you can find if you are looking for a classic heavy metal guitar. Very well built and plays good straight out of the box.

Its a cheap flying V
davedoes 21.12.2020
Its a flying V and its really cheap..... but sounds good for the price you pay, good weight balance and overall feel. I would swap the pickups out for something else if you are so inclined but apart from that its a good starter flying v if your not sure if the shape is for you.

Metal at a reasonable prcie
GameSZ 22.04.2023
This is my first Harley Benton, and it's a great guitar, haven't been able to put it down since I got it. Sounds amazing when paired with the right amp, and really comfortable to play when standing (although, the jack is in a VERY bad place for those who like to play sitting down, but if you use a small angled jack it's not so bad). The fretwork is amazing, playing on it feels very easy compared to some other guitars. Of course, it also looks amazing. One of the best guitars you can get for metal for cheap.

This is my first electric guitar purchase so take my review with a grain of salt.
Pros:
Great sound, extremely cool looking, quality wood, comfortable to hold in a sitting position once you get used to the V-shape.
Cons:
weight of the head/neck proportionate to the body (guitar tends to lose balance unless constantly held in place with your right hand).

I purchased this guitar to mess around by myself and with friends, so if you are also looking for a relatively cheap guitar as your first time purchase, I'd definitely recommend this one.
