Forget velcro
Anonymous 31.01.2015
If you play live and are serious about your set up then screw your effects down, Velcro is great if you are bedroom player or constantly swap your stuff around but is a liability for gigging and gathering hair. These cost next to nothing, cleverly designed and take the worry away... No chance of you opening up your case to find your carefully arranged pedals in a heap all scratched up. I've tried these with big heavy multi units alongside mini pedals and have had no problems whatsoever. Every time I gig and talk to other musicians they agree this is a much more elegant solution to hook and loop tape.

You Don't Know You Need These - But You Do!
MJ Klein 30.10.2024
The Mounties don't fit on every single pedal made, but they can fit most pedal models. I have a great deal of confidence packing up and transporting my pedalboard knowing that my pedals are fixed in place with sheet metal screws. You don't have to drill into the pedal shell or change your vintage/expensive pedals in any way. Just find a screw on the pedal where you can slip a Mountie under, re-tighten and you're good to go. In most cases, this would be a screw that holds the bottom cover on (typically through a rubber foot). On my GOAT pedals, there are assembly screws on the side of the pedals at the bottom that worked perfectly for this purpose. The Mounties can be easily bent for 90 degree mounting solutions too. They are too inexpensive not to get them for your pedalboard build!

Mounties

When setting up your pedal board you sooner or later have to thing of a way to fix your pedals on the board. There are a lot of possibilities out there. The most used variant is most probably using velcro tape. It sticks all of your pedals fixed to the board. Especially for people who often change their setup velcro is a good solution.

My favourite way to fix my pedals on my pedal board however are the Harley Benton Mounties. They are very easy to use. Just remove the bottom of your pedal, stick the Mounties in between and screw the bottom back on. Now you can screw them easily on your board and they hold almost bombproof.

Excellent!!
Anders W. 30.12.2013
The perfect tool for the pedalboard!! It is very flexible and easy to adjust with different screws and different spacers, all to fit your need!!
Excellent quality! Can also be bent to fit in different angles.
I have used them in various places. To mount stomp pedals in pedalboard and rack and also power plants and such. Completely satisfied with them!

A worthy note is that you make the effort to ask them to ship this item in a box or taped to the carton because the plastic bag, they're shipped in, breaks very easy and could result in loss of the mounties!

Thankfully supplier ships replacements if that occurs:)

t
Very simple solution to a semi-permanent pedal mount.
tremblox 07.01.2023
I use Velcro for most of my pedal mounts but for those that are permanent or semi permanent on the board I use these Mounties.

Pedal switching is more direct with these, less spongy than you get with Velcro. It’s still easy to move your pedals - just redrill your board appropriately. I suppose a negative would be if you used batteries in any pedals - these would slow down battery change times significantly. But otherwise I can’t think of a problem. I use a little blue locktite when mounting these to my pedals so that they don’t loosen over time. Simple, effective, cheap and good.

Genius little gizmo.
Steve48 17.02.2023
First you unscrew the feet or screws from your actual pedal. Then you add one of these little metal brackets under each screw, facing outwards, and retighten each screw. Once tightened, use the self tapping screws provided in the kit, to permanently screw your pedal down to the board. Only useful if batteries being replaced isn’t a problem, but that’s normally easy.

Instead of using a bicycle chain
Dr. Daktari 26.09.2022
You could of course use a bike chain and dismantle it or buy this. Works well. Screws could be a bit more “grippy”

Complaint on the packaging
Jimbo Jimmy 30.06.2020
I oredered 15 of them, but the packaging tore up and I lost a couple of 'em ( 3 plates to be exact ). They are slim and can pass through the lids of the box. All is fine though.
