Good plastic saddle
Johhny Shoestringman 25.04.2023
Hardness: Hard plastic ( almost as hard as tusq)
Material: abs plastic
Size: big
Price: 3 euro
Hardness/Rigidity: quite hard/rigid, almost like tusq.

This is a good quality hard plastic saddle. I use this with piezo ust. Works. In comparison to my tusq, it is almost as hard/rigid.

This is a plastic saddle, so of course strings will dig in. Like with tusq (graph tech).

Not hard like bone, but bone is not ideal with piezo ust bc of unevenness in bone material.

The saddle is rigid, it does not bend with string pressure.

it is not soft like the horrible 50pcs plastic saddles from aliexpress.

I use this in my yamaha f310 with ust piezo.

3mm wide.

Good stuff.

I will use this type for all my guitars with piezo ust pickups.

In terms of material hardness and rigidity, almost same as Tusq.

Tone = I cant comment much, I cannot hear horrible tone from it. I guesss its not like bone, but i can not hear a big difference to the tusq.

This plastic is harder and more rigid than other cheap plastic saddles.

5/5 stars from an experienced acoustic guitarist and i do my own setups.

Ps. We will see how well it does over time, I have not tested to see if strings dig fast into it. Ofcourse I would NOT use this material type for a NUT, there I use BONE.
