I bought this originally in 2014. It worked fine for about 2 years. It barely functions now without me being worried for the health of my pedals or it making weird humm and other noises. I'm surprised this is still being sold.
The build quality on the outside is good enough for gigging in my opinion, however I never brought this out for a gig or anything due to it's unreliability in giving clean-ish sound. Gig don't need perfect sound, but obvious loud hums and buzzes are serious issues even for gigs. With unreliable power that is common with venues, I know I would've regretted it if I had brought this out to a gig.
Sometimes I can power 5 pedals without issue, sometimes it's only 2 and sometimes it starts having issues with just 1 pedal attached. All my pedals are very basic non-demanding 9-volt pedals, overdrives and such, they aren't overloading the supply. The pedals work fine on other supplies.
Early on I thought a hum destroyer would help, and because this power supply is a bit random, it did for a bit, and then it didn't, because the supply functions randomly, and the problem was never the lack of a hum destroyer.
Conclusion:
This will power many pedals and it does it cheap, but the chances that you get something that wont work properly after two years and will slowly get worse are higher with this than other Harley benton power supplies. Please just save up a bit for the ISO ones, those are better as well as the powerplant junior. I have multiple powerplant juniors and those work perfectly even today, despite being bought at around the same time as this one.
