A little unreliable
Valeriy Faustov 12.04.2021
The latch is loose, but it is very convenient to attach. but the mounts look unreliable. Again, these are very cheap streplocks. In principle, it is better to pay and buy more expensive mounts

They work, but watch out if you have a thick strap!
Luca Ma 13.09.2022
I bought these security locks to have peace of mind while playing.
I had to do some minor DIY adaptations to install them on my Squier PJ bass: one of them went in just fine, but the one on the top horn was not gripping in the wood as the screws are thinner than the stock ones (and the stock ones don't fit in the security locks). The good ol' trick of toothpick + glue fixed it.

Now, the major issue is on the part that goes on the strap and if you have thick strap, you might be in trouble. I have the betty strap from Mono, and it's just too thick for the locks. When you put the washer, the thread of the bolt is just too short for the nut and you can't tighten it. I somehow managed to get one in place (bolt+washer+nut) but for the life of me I couldn't do it for the other one. I tried to replace the washers with slightly thinner ones, no success. I gave up on it and I directly tightened the nut on the bolt without the washer. So far so good, seems solid and doesn't look like it's getting loose after some months of usage.

tl;dr: Overall I think they do what they are supposed to and they feel secure - for that price it's a no brainer. Overall I would still recommend them. Just watch out if you have a thick strap as you might not be able to tighten the nut using the washer.

Does the job!

These are not the same as the Dunlop ones (they are my favourites), but they are very effective.

Now the best one can get
Jørg 12.01.2021
Flawless and compatible with Schallers previous locks, which never failed for me over the last 30 years.
Only minus is that the screws shipped with them are the shorter/thinner version, some guitars need the longer/fatter ones, hence why Schaller used to ship them with 2 sets.
I also recommend to lube where the lock connects, metal against metal, since they can loosen if they are completely dry.
1 star distracted for the screws supplied with them, would have been better to ship them with the thicker/longer version.

Good enough!
Misukoi 26.05.2023
I bought this in favour of Schallers since I was going to install them on a very cheap guitar. They're not as good as those 4x the price: these locks rattle and the finish is not consistent at all. However, they do the job and are peerless in this price category.

Go for the S-locks on a priced guitar, but buy these if you're unsure whether or not strap locks are worth it at all.

TLDR; These are worth buying!

S
very good alternative
Sebastian365 12.09.2021
the washer is a little thicker as it was on the old schaller ones, so is the nut. I like the design and the price. Unfortunately these are not 100% compatible with all schaller locks. so chances are the strap with these locks will not "lock in" on a guitar with the new schaller locks.

Great to have and to use
Y.Kawaguchi 05.12.2017
Strap locks are always necessary to have for a guitarist and these do the job exceptionally well, especially at the price that I had paid for it. Though this is my first time getting strap locks of this kind. I only found that the distance between the strap and the body to be a bit far making me worried that the strap pin would tear up. Aside from that, the pulling mechanism works beautifully, installation was a breeze and it looks very nice.

Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Robust
- Easy Install
- Works really Nicely

Cons:
- Straps are set far from the body

Slippy jiggy guitar diggy
Michael D. 888 09.09.2014
I've always used the DiMarzio cliplock system on my electric guitars but because of a custom build with a bespoke case that I recently aquired I was forced to look at alternative systems. I picked these because they were cheap and I thought if they didn't do the job I could dispose of them and still only be down a few euros. They do the job perfectly and the guitar feels super safe with them clipped in place. I think I'll be upgrading a few more of my electrics and retiring some of those DiMarzio straps.

Would be better if there is a manual...
Anh Ng 21.05.2020
The quality is great but I struggled a bit to get it done. FYI, push the round knob if you want to remove its square metal piece. You don't really have to worry about screws sizes as you can replace the original screws in the set with your guitar's ones.

Not bad but not great

They work fine but the quality is not as good as the Shaller versions. You get what you pay for.
