Double bound body with a really nice veneer top and all rosewood colouring. Comes with a great Wilkinson bridge which is strung from the back giving a more playable experience in my opinion. Tuners were also very good and work smoothly.
Nice sounding Wilkinson pickups give you all the classic sounds associated with this model and sound quite professional. The bridge pickup is very good indeed, has a lot of bite without being harsh and rings nicely when played clean and can easily handle overdrive to get some nice rock tones. The neck pickup is fine and also handles dirtier sounds with ease. Nine middle position with both combined is agreat rythm sound and can also sound good for some lead work.
The neck shape is big, a handful but very playable and the rosewood board was really nice on my example. Playability was really good, it was setup well and I didn't have to adjust it out of the box.
I am very impressed with this model and have enjoyed playing it.

A real beauty with a charming voice
Dan 96 06.08.2015
This guitar is definitely a beauty. The finish is very good. I just had my usual polishing treatment of the fretboard and the frets. The lacquer is not as thick as on other guitars, but for me that's an advantage. The overall impression is quite convincing... feels and looks like a much more expensive guitar. The tuners are quite Ok, needed a bit of DIY adjustments.
Sound: my guitar was first equipped with ceramic pickups which sounded not bad, but actually differed from the specs on the internet. But after my request Thomann sent me the advertised Wilkinson WVTN/WVTB alnico pickups and they are really fine. The guitar really sounds like a telly. I really don't miss the string-through feature! So it's probably not worth drilling holes in such a beautiful body! I usually play roots music and vintage sounding folky independent singer-songwriter music. In this context the TE 70 really shines... Highly recommended.
