Pleased with the sound
Anonymous 23.12.2014
I am really pleased with the sound also the playability. I had Washburn Rover travel guitar, steel string version, and the sound was really terrible and almost impossible to play without without the guitar strap.

Though I already have a Washburn Rover Nylon string version, and also I bought this low grade version, I am thinking of paying more and get the electro version.

It's a pity that I bought the low grade version because after inspection I have seen the defects. One of the major defect is the significant 'cut' on the 6th string fret.Though there is no buzzing but unfortunately there is really bad buzzing on the 1st string 2nd fret.

Despite the defects, I love this this guitar and it is going to be with me for years to come.

One thing which I did not expect to get- guitar carrying case. I was not expecting to get one because I had made an enquiry about this guitar and was told the guitar did not come with the bag.

Over all highly recommended to those people who wish to purchase it.

Nice sound and good for Travelling
JTTT 23.04.2023
The frets may be a little bit sharp, but that doesn't bother me. The sound quality is absolutely fine for that price range. The size is not too big but also not too small, making it a great travel companion. One thing to note, however, is the small corpus with which it might be a bit unusual to play the guitar at the beginning since you can't rest your arm on the corpus but somehow have to balance the guitar when holding and playing. It's not that big of a deal since you can get used to it, but it's still worth mentioning. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the guitar, and for the price I can't even complain. It's a simple small guitar with a good sound. Thumbs up!!

You get what you pay for

Buy a bottle of wood glue before the guitar arrives. You'll probably have to patch it a little here and there. Take a small and sharp wooden stick. Apply glue to gaps between parts with the sharp end. Spread with your finger tip. W surroundings clean with a towel where needed.

Playing is fun. It feels more casual than a full guitar. You can take it with you almost anywhere in the bag that it comes in.

Perfect guitar for travel
KubaK 12.09.2019
I own this guitar for few years now and it served me well when I traveled.

It had some problems when I got it - namely badly polished and somewhat uneven frets and badly adjusted truss rod, but I was able to sort it out with some sandpaper and a little adjustment. The sound is not great either - quite tinny and missing the low end, but rather loud.

Desipite all of the drawbacks I mentioned I think this is an ideal travel instrument, mainly because it's really cheap and small. I could pack it into my checked baggage when I flown and wasn't too worried about airport personel damaging it. When I go sailing it takes a little of the precious space in a boat and I didn't really care if increased humidity would harm it.

I recommend this guitar for all musicians that would like to take their music wherever they go.

Decent quality for the price
Anonymous 18.07.2015
I bought this on a whim as I've quite fancied a smaller bodied guitar to take on holiday and use when sitting on the couch, when I saw the price I decided to chance it.

After a load of hassle from the courier (Parcelforce - what a bunch of incompetent knackers they are!) I finally recieved the guitar.

All in all it's pretty good, sound wise it's pretty loud for the size (I tune down to Eb so as to not put too much pressure on the neck), action is quite high. Build quality is okay, there's a small ding on the fretboard which, although it doesn't affect playability, doesn't look very nice. The binding is quite well applied but there's some excess glue showing around the neck join to the body which is to be expected for this price of instrument.

All in all, not an outstanding guitar but I'm happy enough for the price I paid for fit!

Awesome for the price!

I took a chance on this as I needed something compact to throw in the back of the car along with my 5 year old son's random stuff (which means room is tight even for my parlour guitar). I didn't expect much for the price but I was very pleasantly surprised!

It's a great build. OK, it's not going to be worrying the likes of Martin and Taylor, but for the price it really punches above its weight. There are a couple of rough edges - a couple of bits on the binding and I can feel the fret ends, but nothing that a quick filing won't fix.

Action and intonation on it is good straight out of the box.
Sound is fine. It's light on bass (as expected for the size), and tonally is nothing special. But projection is surprisingly good.

Overall, this is a great little guitar. It's for travel, so not something that is designed as being a main instrument; it should be compact, cheap, and playable. And it does those things very very well.

Small but sweet.
Anonymous 02.08.2016
On first inspection I was quite impressed with the quality but a little less impressed with the action. However, after an hour or so, the nut and bridge was altered to give a nice low, buzz free action of 1.6mm at the 12th fret. Hopefully once the strings are changed the sound will be a little fuller, but the sustain seems to be very good with no dead spots. Intonation is adequate too.

Overall, a nice little player for keeping the fingers occupied when away from home or lounging around in front of the tv.

For the money you can't go wrong but you'll need to be able to file the nut and bridge to get the most out of it.

Good for travel
Undiscovered guitarist 21.09.2022
Once you've done a little work on this instrument you could have a very capable travel/practice guitar - and if it did get lost or damaged you wouldn't lose sleep over it.

The work I did was: lower the saddle to reduce the action (and sanded the bridge down to accommodate), ramped the bridge holes, adjust the truss rod, smoothed a few rough fret edges and change the strings. Now it's ready. I can play it without a strap on my leg but you might prefer to use a strap to balance it. Worth noting that the case is very thin. I see you can buy a better one vis the link.

Don't buy this guitar if you are looking for some decent sound
Valkus 03.06.2019
but buy it if you need an instrument to practice everywhere.
Took it on a transatlantic trip (in the hand luggage), hiking, mountains, climbing...
The bag is thin, so an additional tissue or a spare t-shirt will help to protect the instrument.

An important thing: as the guitar has a small body, use a belt to get a comfortable playing position.

Lots of un, but ultimately difficult to deal with.
Alanthas 07.05.2024
Lovely build. Nice sound...bit Ukelele, bit Mandoliny 'cos of the small body, but nice. Balance absolutely terrible (again, small body). Action out of the box like a ski-slope, and too-heavy strings. But again fun and convenience factor is high. Can just pick it up and muck about, action means good slide sound and response so...
