Passable, Just.

I got these and while they functioned, they were qt the bottom of the scale for what I consider acceptable. They took a lot of time to stretch in. I would use these for strings to do setup work on a guitar where the strings would be getting binned anyway. Say doing a neck, fret level, shim and the strings are going to be on and off a few times. They are functional. But not wonderful.

Very good value for money. The sound is relatively balanced but lacks sparkle. They quickly lose sound transparency and stop sounding after about 5 hours of playing (but so do other strings for 10 Euro). For the price offered by Thomnann, I recommend it

CR
Good for the price

Sometimes I might install new machine heads on a guitar, or do some pickup work, then re-string and take the guitar to my local guitar tech for a fret dress/setup etc. I don't like to waste a set of Ernie Ball's or D'Addario's, since he usually replaces the strings. These are perfect for that situation. I can string up with these and it hasn't cost as much as a more higher end set.

Other than that, they'll get you by in a pinch, but they won't hold tuning or stay as fresh as the higher end strings.

not a good fit
Not Jaco Pastorius 02.07.2024
unfortunately these did not work on my Gretsch as the holes on the ball end were not big enough to slide into the Bigsby bridge. I have used these in the past when i had a strat and they worked really well for me. so it was a bit of a shame i had to buy a more expensive set.

Questionable.
Anonymous 15.05.2014
These strings looked like something you could use while just screwing around at the rehearsal space and since they were really cheap, I thought I'd just get a couple of packs and change them often.

Turned out they scrape at the lower strings, the higher strings tend to snap quite easily and the feel was just not that great I'm afraid.

I used 3 packs and threw the rest in a drawer and they have remained there since.

Not bad at all
pipebarria 31.01.2021
I put them on my Harley Benton TE-90 and they work fine. Maybe they lose brightness sooner than expected, but they're not bad quality at all.

Very good value
Anonymous 22.04.2016
I've used these for several months now and to be fair they are very good value. I've found then to be not as bright (when brand new) as Gibson or Addario strings and they tarnish a little quicker but frankly for the
price I've no complaints whatsoever. They ar ewell packages and arrived with no kinks or manufacturing flaws whatsoever.

I'm mostly a home player and really only change strings on my guitars every 6 months. These value string shave allowed me to experiment with different gauges without burning a hole in my pocket.

Additionally they have served me well as 'stand-by' strings just to have handy in the gig bag.

Recommended for casual players.

Its a replacement string
Jilvir 14.06.2020
it's just a regular string only... its better if they replace the same as the guitar has Ddario string already.

Cost pays off

These strings remind me of the string daddario of a cheap series. At me they come into disrepair after 1 - 2 weeks of playing them for 2 three hour rehearsals a week. Aversion when touch does not cause. Not for the studio, of course, but with them it is possible to live and enjoy the game.

A bit disappointed
Anonymous 24.01.2016
I am used to D?addario strings so I bought these because they were very cheap and I wanted to try them out and see if they were any good compared to ?high end strings?. I have to say that these strings sound a bit flat and they don?t feel as nice as D?addario strings. They also seem to age a lot faster and feel old even if you have just put them on the guitar. For 1,5 euros I guess they aren?t bad but I?d rather stick with higher quality strings myself.
