I got this pedal as an extra to fill in the package made up of some other purchases that I truly loved from Thomann, to qualify for a free shipping. But I wish now I had ordered that harmonica I had my eye on as a filler, instead of the Harley Benton vintage overdrive!
This pedal really is useless, it makes a horrific buzz as soon as it is turned on which makes it unacceptable for any decent set up. And yet the quality of the overdrive it provides at the cost of a disgusting buzz is really worse than the built-in gain channel of the cheapest amps.
I am sending this back to Thomann immediately, even though the shipping back will cost me, I am hoping they will reimburse me a timely refund as they normally do, on this despicable device, so I can spend it on that harmonica!
I admit that the price of the pedal is excellent for such a good looking, green, overdrive pedal, but if it totally ruins the overall sound, good looks are of no use!
I was totally mislead on this purchase by raving customer reviews on the product page, which I now know can sometimes be false, and rather disappointed that one should maybe not count on reviews at the Thomann site?
I truly wonder who in fact wrote these great reviews on the worst sounding overdrive pedal, maybe 12 year-olds?
