Good for the price!
joshzhu.uk 30.08.2020
Summary:
I reccommend for people to don't move their kit more than 4 times a month, and for beginners to intermediate drummers. It is decent and should last many years in a not to demanding environment.

Pros:
+Decent spring strength
+Decent hi-hat clutch included
+has stood up to being moved about between 1-4 times a month

Cons:
-the middle rod can be bent easily if not careful
-the rods that hold the pedal into the base of the stand seem to have bent closer over time, so they don't hold it in as well.
-Spring isn't adjustable
-it mades a bit of noise when being pressed down, but itsn't really picked up with mics when playing at a decent volume.

N
Perfect balance between quality and price
NikMartken 04.02.2019
If you are looking for something on a budget but sturdy enough to do the job, this is the right stand for you. The stand is an "essential" one, so the basics are there and they are all you need after all.
The response is pretty good, it has good action and it's possible to play several tricks with your Hi Hat.
This stand is low, not that much but enough probably for players that are looking for higher placement of the cymbals, but for me, it has the perfect height that fits my playing style.
This stand has not "swivel legs": so the tripod is fixed, you can't move it and it is not 100% good for double pedals, but you can easily adjust its placement and it will not bother while kicking (this is the way I use the stand).

So yes: overall this is really a great quality/price piece of gear. I am not planning to use it on the road (maybe I'll go for something more "heavy-duty" that case) but for the practise room it is absolutely perfect.

G
Surprisingly good
GoncaloSilva 18.09.2020
Bought this hi hat stand for a small improvised kit for when I need to play more quietly and it does the job perfectly. Not the best hi hat stand but great for the price.

Pros:
-Cheap
-Easy to mount
-Easy to transport

Cons:
-Very weak spring tension (can't hold a meinl hi hat tambourine along with the cymbals)
-A bit wobbly on the pedal

Great value
Gerardo5491 12.02.2018
For its price, its amazing.
Sturdy, resistant, but the only minus is, the inside coil that makes the pedal to go up, is not so strong, is just good enough, but you would like it a bit stronger, specially if you play grooves which uses a lot of fast closing-opening hi-hat.

Hats off!

The Millenium Stage hi hat stand is from Thomanns own brand of musical instruments and certainly stands up well as a main hi hat stand or as a second backup to a practice kit.The first thing i was looking for was a hi hat stand that's sturdy and this is the case as the legs are double braced which add good stability when opened out, stopping it from moving around on stage. It comes with a solid, metal footplate with the 'Millenium' logo which is connected to the hi hat rod via a large chain and is quite smooth to operate. The stand can be set at different heights to suit your preference and has a memory lock which enables for quick set up at the right height. On top of that it comes with its own hi hat clutch and is at a nice weight for easy enough transport. Overall, a sturdy, robust piece of equipment that is great value for money!

D
it does for a beginner like me.
Darryl 29.08.2013
Always been impressed with millenium gear and this is no different. Though it doesn't score highly for me it is well worth the money spent on it. Of course it doesn't match up to tama and ludwig standards but it isn't priced like they are. Both of the drummers that i use in my band have always been satisfied generally with the stand. There is an issue with the top hat spinning and unscrewing the stem all together.

The stand themselves are really stable and it has a good solid base. The action i find smooth enough but i'm sure that is because i am a unskilled drummer. I am really happy with it.

The material quality is great once again for the price being paid. The finish is good and has stood up well to the 5 years of being thrown into and out of a vans and cases.

Does the job well
Collymore 29.08.2018
It was easy to assemble and hasn't broken after 6 months. The pedal occasionally comes unhooked from the base, but apart from that it gives me no trouble at all.
