Kills the sound

These jack were pretty easy to mount and solder. I made 20 patch cables for a pedal board. Easy to mount and solder.
However, when I connect them, they totally kill the sound. Each patch makes me lose 2-3db of volume. If I connect all 8 pedals, I have virtually no volume.
I don't recommend buying these and don't understand all the positive reviews.
