A beauty
Akir0s 09.12.2019
She is a beauty when i see her i can't believe i own that guitar i love the sound nice pickups with unique sound ,for jazz is awesome also can take gain very well . The fret-board its awesome and when you play with her u dont want to stop
Cons : Ok the bridge its for sure something that you want to change when i changed the string for 11's it started make noises i somehow get rid of them also the pickup switch it's the biggest disadvantage its really cheap for 1000 bucks guitar and sometimes i turn the pickup from neck to bridge and doesn't go stays in the middle position (happened two times when i was at a gig ) For those two things i give guality 4 stars

Stunning looks and nice sound
Nailer 04.05.2019
TL;DR: catching design, good build quality, classy sound - a neat instrument with a unique look.

Ibanez JSM20-BKL is not only for John Scofield's fans, but also for everyone who wants a successful combination of a classic semi-hollowbody concept and one-of-a-kind appearance.

The design is just stunning - black and gold has always combined well together, but here it is also has abalone inlays, 80's style headstock, and matte finish, which feels good and makes it look quite unique. Also, this narrow old-style headstock on Ibanez hollowbodies can now be found only on John's models). Gold hardware is slightly faded, which is intentionally, I suggest.

Other specs are also just right - 3 piece neck, ebony fretboard, nicely-processed frets, Super 58 pickups (which are killer-sounding, btw).

Cons – there are only few.
Pickup rings were slightly non-parallel to strings. Lacquer turned out to be a bit delicate - requires careful handling. The pickguard has quite a rough surface - could be polished better.

Other than that everything is just fine. BTW, my guitar turned out to be made not in China, but Indonesia, surprisingly. But the build quality is very good, nothing really to put a finger on.
