IK Multimedia AXE I/O+AmpliTube5+Tonex MAX

I returned a previously ordered AXE Solo + Amplitube 5 bundle in favor of this one, mainly for the fact that this one is bundled with Amplitube Max. Everything works great. I remove one star from the features for the following reason: In the Solo, the two inputs (Guitar on the front and line in at the back) work independently as two separate sources, so it's effectively a two input interface. I was expecting that the big brother works in the same way, effectively giving 4 independent inputs, but the AXE I/O differs from the solo in that for each input you can either use the front OR the back but not both together. Effectively this means that the only thing you get more than the solo is that both inputs can be guitar inputs or line inputs. The other thing is that the z-tone, JFET and Active/Passive selectors are for both guitar inputs simultaneously.
Effectively, the only thing you gain with this is that you get two sets of outputs at the back and the tuner (which is indeed useful). To me, the preset selector is fiddly and doesn't really have a purpose.
Since this bundle costs less than the Solo + Upgrade to Max, it's still a no brainer, provided that you are after the max version.

I ordered this audio interface after reading multiple reviews online. The package promises endless options - tons of amps, effects and cab simulations, lots of applications for recording and a killer audio interface tailored for guitar players.
Unfortunately, this didn't work to me at all - I have a new gaming desktop (12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700F 2.10 GHz, 32GB ram, running Windows 11) but I couldn't get this interface to give me a clean sound without lots of cracks and pops. This was very frustrating. I tried to tweak every parameter possible and followed every online guide to no avail. Tried to isolate the problem, different guitars, different cables, different power outlet, different connections - nada. I ended up returning it...

Probably the best value for money if you are looking it from the guitar perspective. Included software is just amazing value. Also changing input impedance is great addition and really does make a difference. Tuner is not that usable since it's very basic and it's almost impossible to be dead on center. I'm guessing because of it's limited screen size. Unit feels sturdy and durable however out of the box those small toggle switches had some problems with contact. Depending on how you switch them they sometimes cut the signal and you need to push them a bit and then it all works. Probably just a minor contact issue. I didn't return it cause for me it's just switch it and forget about it plus I didn't want to wait couple of weeks for unit to be sent to Thomann and than back to me. It's working "flawlessly" for couple of months and if it breaks I always have 3 year Thomann warranty. That being said I still recommend it because of all the bells and whistles you get with it.
