Not for ES Guitars with P90s!!

The amount of gating required for P90s running through distortion pedals (-10 dB!) raises the threshold so high that the clean guitar signal is cut to pieces.
For P90's then, it is really not recommended!
For normal single coils it is probably absolutely fine.
