As a owner of the previous LSR305, I bought this second pair blindly.
Sound wise, they are as great as ever and maybe even better. Zero complain here.
There is still the same hiss. Quite annoying, can be reduced by lowering the volume to get the best compromise noise/signal.
An auto standby mode shuts the amp completely after some time so no more hiss when unused. That's better than nothing, but I would have preferred a reduced hiss.
However the real pain with the LSR305P is a new permanent coil whine.
It doesn't come from tweeter nor the woofer. It comes from the back, the power supply to my guess.
It's pretty high pitch and faint so I tried to just ignore it but after three days there is still a few moments of the day when I find this ringing way too annoying. Even at 2 meters away.
Unplugging every electronic device in the room did nothing. The only way to remove that ringing is to power off the speakers.

I bought them for the music listening. I didnt find them enjoyable for that use. Sounded really dull, sound wouldnt "hit me".
They are probably good for mixing/producing and that sorta stuff.
They have very nice detail, separation, very nice low end. Just not my cup of tea. Sounds are perfored very close the speakars. Its like you got a PowerPoint presentaion but with sounds.

A bit disappointed from the sound
Konstantinos V 05.02.2021
I usually play the piano using headphones and was very satisfied with the sound quality but I didn't like the feeling after a few minutes of playing (pressure on my head-ears) so I decided to go for studio monitors.
Once in a store I listened to M-Audio BX5, just some tracks from youtube and I was impressed. After some research and good reviews I thought that JBL would be a little step up. Many say that Jbls are the cheap alternatives of Yamahas HS5.
Listening to even the same tracks, playing the piano and comparing to my headphones I am very disappointed. Tried the configuration highs and lows but still is a no from me. My audio interface that I use is Scarlett 2i2.
My conclusion is that You should try yourself first and then buy.
