Not perfect - but great for the money
Igor Thorpe 24.04.2020
Firstly- this isn't properly isolated like some supplies so if you're running high-draw pedals like Strymons, you may run into noise issues. BUT - The battery option is really convenient. There are plenty of outputs, and it's small enough to mount under a pedalboard. As others have noted, the power switch can be awkward to reach, but you can get around that. Also the LEDs are really bright but you can turn them off or stick electrical tape over them, so no problems there. It is definitely one of the quieter power supplies I own, but the real plus point is the fact that it charges with a standard 9v centre -negative supply (of 2A or over). So if you were previously using a one-spot, you can use that to charge this up, which is really cool, especially if you aren't able to use the euro plug it comes with.

Good for a small board
Sebby Dee 16.08.2023
The unit is well thought and offers a lot of possibilities. It's fairly small and light and, if that's your thing, you get a bunch of blue LED lights on your board (you can switch them off). You can also use it as you charge it, which really is great.

On the not so bright side, if you're running a heavy board (1,500 ma +) it won't last much more than 2 hours and the power indicator is a bit random, you don't really know how long you've got left once the light goes orange. I have also experienced some noise using many pedals but ,to be fair, I couldn't be sure it comes from the power supply.

All in all, good for the price and perfect for a small board if it doesn't get noisy.

Love it
Def Jef 24.07.2023
It's so nice to have the flexibility of a rechargeable battery pack - and also so hard to find a well priced, quality one. This Joyo fits the bill perfectly.

The battery that it contains gives it a good deal of weight - 'power brick' sums it up. I used mine for the first time to power a couple of TC Electronic digital effects plus a couple of lower draw Muffs and overdrives and it lasted all afternoon with the power light remaining green, indicating 60%-100% charge, for the whole session.

No noise was introduced by it and I loved the whole experience of it with no power cables trailing across the ground.

So far it seems very good value for money - and a LOT cheaper from Thomann than ANYWHERE else - not that there WERE many other places to choose from that made any sense...

Quite fond of this. I bought it for busking. To be honest I've also used it a lot as a power bank for charging my phone (beware, that will use your battery far quicker than your pedals). Options are good for a rechargeable. Would recommend for buskers or people practicing where power outlets are not a given. Battery life is good, just don't be silly and just use what you need (when not connected to a mains I mean). Most pedals I have don't require anything more than 100mA so it suits me, great to have the 500mA options though (EQ-pedals and the like). Would prefer a three pin plug for power but that is really minor.

Does one thing that's very useful!

Probably not the greatest Pedal supply you can get. But it charges!! Incredibly handy for someone busking or similar. It works pretty fine too, my first one did break suddenly after a while. But to be honest I bought another because they're very cheap and so handy for the internal, rechargeable battery.

Affordable, Robust and Practical!
Beriadan_ 31.07.2020
I use the power bank whenever I go to my band's rehearsal space where there's a lack of sockets. I also use it at home for practice. I haven't had the need to use the 5v usb output on it yet. Battery lasts a very long time, I only charged it 3-4 times and I've been using it for a bit every single day.
Pros: Lightweight, solid, portable, cheap with lots of outputs. Low noise.
Cons: LED lights are too bright and they're on by default, gotta press the button to turn them off. It would be useful in a dark stage scenario but that is rare nowadays.

Joyo did a good job on this one.

Good power bank
AdamFiddle 09.04.2020
I was looking for something that would keep me from having to plug into outlets at venues where I would get hum from it. Also makes re-positioning on stage easier without having to be near a power outlet. Battery lasts a good long time, I only have my Fishman platinum and sometimes a delay as well running from it, but saves me on getting 9v batteries.

Only annoying issue for me is that the power button can easily be knocked on in my gig bag so I have to keep the charger with me just in case that happens and it runs the battery down.

Otherwise it is good product and would definitely recommend it.

Great power-supply
KoenHendrickx2508 12.04.2020
Had some issues with noise coming from my pedal power source. Since using this one, no noise anymore. The extra advantage for this one is that it is acting as a powersupply as well. In my household, it's no longer a source for the pedals but also for visitor who wants to charge their phone or as a batterypack for a PS4-controller. Great product for the price!
