The edge of a sponge
Sax Student 18.04.2021
The edge of a cleaning Key Leaves Spit Sponge for saxophone is in my opinion very rough for the saxophone pads. Meanwhile the rest of material is okay. In case you are cleaning your pads in the way that you "pull" the sponge, and not only "tap" the pad - than perhaps this isnt the best material option. I think that the BG's cleaning cloth (sponge) does the same thing, if not even better. But this is just my opinion what I noticed.

Simple and functional

Simple and functional. Takes the keys sticking problem quickly and sustainably. I was using simple paper before which was removing stickines, but it was coming back with Key Leaves keys stay in good sealing condition much longer.

A very good product

Perhaps not quite how it looks in the picture - and I think the word "sponge" is a bit misleading. It's not a thin piece of sponge at all. It's made from a double sided fabric - relatively absorbent on one side and relatively abrasive on the other.

The idea, I assume is to pick up moisture from the pads on with side and gunk from the tone hole on the the other. That all seems to work very well - but the clincher for me is that is is relatively stiff compared with other pad cleaners. This makes it very easy to slip in to what are often quite awkward gaps between the keys and the tone holes.

So it's quick and efficient -highly recommended !

Bit pricey for what they are
Musicanter 27.01.2024
If you've got a Yamaha saxophone, you've probably got sticky pads (usually the A and B pads), but that's about the only thing you can complain about a Yamaha sax, they are otherwise perfect - all models.
However, to prevent sticky pads you probably need a spit sponge (or Rizla cigarette paper, or Yamaha's own Powder Paper, if you can find it).

Simple and does the job!

This small cloth is the cheapest way of looking after your pads and preserving them to last as long as possible. A very simple product that does the job well.

It's, well, ok
Klim 07.12.2020
For the price they could have thrown in two. It does it's job I guess but isn't always the easiest thing to maneuver between the keys. So it's ok.

Does the job well. It can prolong the pad life, especially palm keys and other smaller pads significantly.
