Does not impede with sound quality or volume whatsoever. Solid quality.
I originally planned to unscrew the black plastic corners to fit the unit more neatly in a 19" rack, but I ended up not finding any screwdriver that would to the job, so I left it as-is.

Ich nutze das Gerät als Line-Splitter für die Aufteilung des Monitorweges vom Mischer über eine aktiv DI-Box(Millenium DI 33) in den Klark Teknik DS 50 und von dort zu den InEar Geräten der Bandmitglieder. Der Sound ist klar und das Gerät macht genau das was es soll (ein Monitorweg auf 5 InEar Geräte aufteilen) und das macht es sehr gut! Preis/Leistung ist absolut O.K. klare Empfehlung!
