It works, but introduces some noise floor. unacceptable for recording vocals or anything really. might be passable in a live situation but i wouldn't recommend it really. My friend has the original Fethead and it's honestly really worth spending the extra cash in this case.

Great for the price but after only a number of uses it now crackles and buzzes. Cheap enough to replace but expected to get a bit more life out of it.

Noisy, cuts low end, increase gain too little.

So I bough it in order to use shure sh55 with scarlet 4i4, since it's too quite.
As a result although it makes mic louder it's also noisier, that makes it unusable.
