Review for K&M 14010 Piccolino Children?s Stool
I run group drum lessons and have been with kids for ten years. I?ve been using other branded stools. I was getting very tired of the tops coming off when moving them about, wobbly seats, and the height adjustment being very inconvenient, and worse over time, needing a hammer and specially made metal tool to be able to move the internal height adjustment pole due to wear and tear.
I was reluctant to spend £50+ per stool but knew that I had upcoming drumming workshops and wanted to improve the quality of use for me and the students. What attracted me in the sales pitch was the space saving and light weight description.
I was delighted to see when I opened the box a really nice and comfortable design, and curious to see if it was worth the money. Ever since, I have not been let down at all. At no point have the tops come off when picking them up by me or the students. They were all set to maximum height, which was perfect, and even I could sit on one and bash on the drums and pads, (not high enough for long term use for adults). The kids could easily move them around themselves, and when I had a four year old come for a three hour session, I lowered the height to minimum and even he was moving it around and sitting very comfortably!
I?ll see over time how long the height adjustment will keep functioning as well as it does.
If you?re working with kids, these really are fantastic stools. When I have the cash I am going for the K&M adult sized versions.
