Lightweight, Stable and Smart

I really don't understand the negative reviews for this throne. I spent a lot of time searching for every piece of info available online for this throne and comparing it to other currently available lightweight thrones, and finally made a decision based on what I could find (which wasn't much). This throne allows the drummer to sit quite high, which could lead to some instability (however I haven't tested this personally), but when set around 59 cm of height (roughly the middle of its range), it provides plenty of stability for a 80 kg, 180 cm tall person. It is definitely possible that a lot of the reviews that claim a lack of stability could be coming from people that are either very tall, very heavy, or both. In my opinion, this throne might currently be the best gigging throne available, as it is lightweight, stable, very quick to setup / tear down, and impossible for it to slip down in height due to the drilled hole system for height adjustment.

No pain in the ass, but what a pain in the ass.

I bought this as a space saving, lightweight keyboard seat and as such it works. It's also comfortable enough for a 3-hour gig. So far, so good.
Problem #1 is the chair to spindle screw. It has to be really, really, REALLY tightened in order to not come loose. When I switch from front keys to right keys, I move the stool and a number of times I ended up with just the seat in my hand. Hate to think of what might have happened.
Problem #2 is the height adjustment. In order to fit in my case, I have to push it all the way in (great that it fits!) and for playing I have to extend to hole #6. That's from my memory, I'm still figuring out where the seat's memory is supposed to be. The locking button gets stuck all the time, it's hard to find the right hole and when pushing it in it often shoots all the way in and the spindle can only be retrieved with a butter knife (so to speak).
Bottomline, it's what I need and as such content, but it's far from perfect.
