Very stable but requires extreme tightening to avoid movement
Chris5837 05.02.2015
I play in a covers band and we bought this mic stand as a replacement - it's heavy (in a good way) and very stable - very happy with that. The thing that lets it down is the nut that secures the boom has to be tightened to within an inch of it's life or the boom arm will slope down during use. We only use a standard cardioid vocal mic (SM57/58) so it's not like it's carrying a heavy load. When the stand is appropriately secured and tensioned it is rock solid. I imagine it wouldn't be good if you haven't got much strength in your hands.

Beware Cheap Imitations
Toby G. 23.07.2015
Please do not be fooled by cheaper stands that may appear to be better value, these stands are well made and last for a long time.
I have been using a these stands for over 5 years, and have continued to buy for other projects as all originals are still operational.
