great value
Stephen5221 16.02.2020
I own several of these now, for my own use and for hire out, given five stars for their comparative value, they are sturdy , strong and reliable, I haven't had any threads sheer or anything break, yes the paint has worn on several but that is to be expected considering the amount of use, the upright adjustment is secure and remains so during use and the boom is reliable and simple and remains stable fully extended with an overhead mic (heavier mics coud be a slight problem), the tri leg span is wide enough but not so to 'get in the way' for vocalists, i only have one that is now a bit wonky due to a large singer repeatedly standing on one of the legs !! you DO NOT need to stand on the leg to reach the mic !! they are the cheaper end of K&M range but great value for money and a very useful, very good all purpose mic stand

KD
omes with a Rode NT2-A microphone.
Karpe Diern 04.07.2020
Comes with a Rode NT2-A microphone. It is not suitable for this microphone when increasing the length of the shoulder on which the microphone is located - it becomes unstable and can tip over. Suitable for light microphones. The rest is made with high quality and there are no complaints.

Regarding the Thomann service: Excellent service and fast delivery. Thanks for a good experience, will be back at some stage for my next purchase. At each stage they provide complete information and do everything to make the client satisfied. Among Russian companies, you rarely see services of this quality, mainly because of the indifference of specific people in the field.

Very good
Joel David 25.04.2020
I have a shure sm7b mic so I needed a mic stand. After research I decided to buy this one. I a very good quality stand and just perfect for my mic. I have to fin the right position as the microphone is quite heavy compared to others so the mic will not stay in the place for so long. After trying different position I find a balance so my microphone stays in the same place for hours. With for instance a Shure sm57 works incredible and does not move a millimetre. I will recommend it.

Better than cheaper ones

A while ago bought some stand, that had problems holding a basic microphone and also did'nt have bad quality. Pretty much it was bad at the only thing it was supposed to do.

With this, there ar no quality problems, holds microphones well, also can go high enough. Good purchase. I'm happy with it.

M
K&M Stand
Matthew3772 23.08.2015
I have been using K&M stands in my studio for years and needs to replace a few stands which had got broken. These were my first choice, they are well build with everything you would expect from a K&M stand. Sturdy and able to handle any mic i have out on them. Probably not recommended to use fully extended with a heavy mic for example on drum over heads.

The only negative point i have is the rotating mechanism is a bit gimmicky, as it controls both the extensions and the angle of the boom, makes it a bit awkward to position mic in exact locations as loosening it cause both angle and extension to change. Overall a decent stand for the price!

Well...

Its Great and practical for home use.
But i would't recomand it for studio, or stage use. (its a bit flimsy)

its starting to fall apart at the base rotation part.
its just cheap plastic at that part so not really built for hard use.

Have used these for live gigs plenty of times and they've always delivered so far, recently got one for my home studio and I doubt I'll have any issues there either. Safe to say I recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable yet quality mic stand

Not great - not terrible.

I was expecting a bit more from K&M but I guess I should've had went for a more expensive option.
If you don't plan on adjusting your microphone a lot this can work.
Otherwise, I suggest skipping this stand - the ground base quickly lost the grip and the main pipe always ends up hitting the bottom which obstructs the existence of the three legs with rubber because the vibrations from the ground will at this point go directly back to the mic and you're unlikely to realize what had happened.
The upper arm is also pretty weak so you have to be extremely careful. I have used it almost exclusively with SM58 and it doesn't take too long to find the microphone falling down slowly.
I love K&M and in case I didn't receive a defected product, this is not really up to the standards. I will consider buying a pricier version soon.

Good for any purposes
DrBoondigga 20.12.2017
This Stand is very useful for any purpose , the various knobs let you pick angles that really can save you in a studio/live setting .
I just wish they were a little more resistant to use because mine is a little worn down and it has issues staying straight without falling from the Microphone weight.

A
good economical choice
Anonymous 12.05.2014
I bought this stand after my old ones all finally gave out or disappeared (as they do).
I was very pleased with the fittings being reliable and strong and the sturdy base at this light weight. It folds up well and is easy to store and extends high enough for drum overheads.
I use it in a home studio and it holds a fairly heavy large diaphragm condenser without complaints.
I don't know how it would hold up to gigging but for the purpose I have it for, it does great job for the price.
