A
Good subwoofer
Alex9423 23.07.2021
I use my KRK S8G4 with my BX8 D3s. The key difference when using the subwoofer for me is how much cleaner the BX8s sounds. Its a huge improvement and was mainly why i wanted a subwoofer for them. The bass quality has also improved. The BX8 and KRKS compliment each other very nicely. I choose to use the 70hz setting. No port noise no resonances at all. Only reason that I " only " give it 4 stars in the sound quality department is because the bass is not quite as clean as my 2070 si. Bass notes are more distinct with my 2070 si. On the other hand my 2070 si has a lot of port noise at lower frequencies. The KRK doesn't.

J
Compact and comprehensive
Jaap59 18.06.2021
The purpose of the KRK subwoofer is to extend the bass of my pair of Adam T5Vs. This combination is mainly used to listen to blues, pop and rock music. It is connected to a Volumio media player with a high end DAC. The T5V has a nice bass of its own, but I wanted a subwoofer for that extra bit of bass, mainly reproduction of bass drums and the lowest 4 string bass tones going as low as 40 Hertz. I choose the KRK S8G4 for its compact size, multiple inputs including RCA and the selectable crossover frequencies. It works fine for me, but have a look at the bigger sized KRKs if you want to hear synthesized bass and movie sound effects. In addition, the optional foot switch to bypass cross over really helped me to adjust the subwoofer. Finally, shipping from Thomann is really fast.

AM
Tight punchy lows !
Audio Mix Man 12.11.2024
Great tight punchy lows from krK for small to medium size Rooms . I use two ! with a pair of Kali in8 monitors to give full bandwidth and a wide stereo image in a Treated Control room . For me it’s a solution that produces phenomenal mastering quality monitoring ,without annoying the neighbours or the bank manager.
