Strings selection is very subjective, yet I have 3 decades of experience with Larsen, which are my preferred strings.
I have Larsen Mediums on my Yamaha, Il Canone Warms on my master Italian, and thought these would be on my CR5. Yes and no. The G string needed to be changed to a Larsen Medium. The other strings played nicely. Would I recommend these over Mediums, no. Buy Larsen Il Canone instead? Yes. But the Magnacore is not different enough from a Soloist.
