Out of the box the reed is just difficult to attack and sustain, you'll need to process it a bit to make it more responsive. After that within normal rage the sound is warm, powerful, full of lower resonances. However you'll still need more efforts to play the altissimi notes.
If you're an experienced wind band player and you don't have to play many altissimi notes then you could try this out, but I think a 3.25 or 3.5 will give you similar sound yet much easier to play. If you're a soloist player and you play often altissimi notes and long phrases, although its sound in normal range is stunning, don't buy this. In conclusion, its usage is too limited.
