EM
Underestimated
Emile Michel Hobo 19.09.2019
Egg shakers are underestimated by unknowing individuals like myself that figured they might just be an interesting substitute for, say, a hi-hat.

The kind of co-ordination needed to get the rhythm you want without adding beats and accents that shouldn’t be there is quite different from what I’m used to from the drumkit. Also, are you going to make these eggs sizzle, swirl, snap, or pop? They offer a whole range of sounds and attacks that take diligent practice and effort to learn to control them.

It already begins with how you hold them. In the end, holding your eggs is one thing, but knowing what to do with them a whole different story. (Both true and pun fully intended.)

Nice differences

There is a distinct difference between all three, for the price you can't complain at all!

Great deal

Great value for such an underrated instrument. A good shaker played by a good percussionist can give life to any song. Tonally the three are quite diverse, which is extremely useful. If one isn't cutting through in the way in which you would like it is simply a matter of swapping for one more suitable.

The white egg sounds soft and has low volume.
The blue egg sounds hard and has a medium/loud volume.
The red egg sounds very hard and has a very loud volume.

Fun little trio

The eggs are all "volumed" differently I suppose it's due to different amounts or size of grain. So you have eggs in different styles, going ftom soft and subtle to "louder". Fun for different rythms when your playing unplugged.
