Excellent Contraption

Just installed this on my Ludwig Centennial 26" bass drum. Using it to hold the ride cymbal.

It was a piece of cake to install, up and running in minutes. Replaces one of the lugs on the drum. The technology in the Atlas Mount Bracket, a series of rubber bushes and internal springs ensure that any overtones from the cymbal are not transferred through the unit into the drum.

A solid piece of kit with the brilliant Atlas finishes that match the rest of my set-up. It also comes with a memory lock with a cool Keystone logo in the centre.

I have installed the Atlas Mount in conjunction with the Aerodyne Tilter Clamp - Long (LAP3T6) and a Gibraltar SC-LRL-1 Extra Large L-Rod. This set-up has no problem supporting the weight of the ride cymbal ( a Paiste 2002 20").

This allowed me to replace a boom stand that was over-extended and would often fall over during playing.

Highly Recommended.

D
Atlas Mount for Vintage Ludwig
David4359 28.05.2014
My Ludwig is a three ply around 1976 Pro Beat. The 13" Tom sound great off the Holder but was very dull when mounted - plus the hardware was old and hard to stabilise (uses Nuts) rathern than Wing Nuts. I bought this and decided to replace the old mount lug with this one (no need to use a tension lug) as the sliding Nut and Bolts allow it to go directly into the existing holes in the Tom. Ludwig don't mention the difference in older hardware diameters to new but they provide Plastic Sleeves inside the pack that allow for different hardware spikes. This is not mentioned anywhere. This product is awesome - it sound fantastic now with long resonance and good deep tone. As a bonus it also tightens up perfectly on spike with a wing nut. I am very happy with it.

Atlas Tom Mount

Really pleased with this bracket, i was never a vibraband fan, you still need a rims case/bag for the tom though as it does protrude nearly as much as the vibraband holder, but, head changing becomes alot more easy,,
