Great Snare and good all rounder

I’ve already tried this at different tunings to feel the snare and its tones, mid to low I find stops buzz when other drums are played as well as slightly tight wires.
Defo aimed more at the heavy stylings, can’t see it being used in a laid back jazz styling but could be wrong if tuned not to reduce overtone and buzz, as the higher picnic tuning is sensitive enough for brushes.
I’ve not used the stock head by default as I never do, however it is branded and is a good quality so can be played with the stock heads.
The bag that comes with it is nice, especially if you have multiple snares and only one gig back.
Personally I prefer the other style throw off mainly due to when you have it in a gig back you will need to leave the snare on which causes the tension to stay engaged and weaken quicker. It is however cable connection and not plastic strips, so only time will tell if it will hold its tension.

I would recommend if you are looking for a basic snare from a named branded to be used in studio or live for a rocky alt band. If you are great at tuning then you will have no issue with this!
