The piece does its job very good. For big band stuff the sound is a good fit at does sizzle with very little pressure but accepts a lots of air still when needed. The slightly enlarged bore probably has something to do with this. A word of warning - if your lips get swelling during a gig, you'll bottom out as it is quite shallow.

A great mouthpiece for lead trumpet. Signature model of the late great Mic Gillette of the lead trumpeter of the Tower of Power, Blood Sweat and Tears, and The Doobie Brothers to name but a few.
